The Helford Guidebook

DUE EASTER 2021

Tucked away in deepest West Cornwall, the Helford River is home to subtropical gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan, Trelowarren House, the pretty village of Helford, Frenchman's Creek (the setting for Daphne Du Maurier's famous novel) and the gallery at Kestle Barton. This book follows the south coast from Maenporth to Rosemullion Head and into the estuary heading past the gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan to Helford Passage. Then on to Budock Vean, Port Navas and the Potager Garden and up on the high ground north of Constantine. Here the landscape in the valley above the Waymarker Cafe at Trewardeva is peppered with abandoned granite quarries. We rejoin the estuary at Gweek and head along the south bank to Trelowarren, Tremayne Quay, Frenchman's Creek and Helford Village. Finally we take in beautiful Gillan Creek, Manaccan and St Anthony ending on the cliffs at Porthallow.
