Lizard Guidebook

£9.99
NEW EDITION

The Lizard's remarkable landscape is dictated by its very unusual geology. Here Mother Nature has reluctantly given up a medley of igneous and metamorphic rocks that properly belong in the Earth's oceanic lithosphere and are only rarely found on dry land. It's these unusual rocks that underpin the distinctiveness of the Lizard. In the first part of this guidebook we look at the origin of the Lizard's remarkable rocks and at the unusual habitats associated with them and then guide you to the famous beauty spots like Lizard Point, Kynance and Mullion as well as the less visited places like Goonhilly and Predannack Downs.

Lots of variety of information about peninsula. Anyone interested in this place should consider it. Wish had that book before going to explore Lizard.

A different sort of guidebook

The presentation of this book is different from the average one. It talks of the geology, flora and fauna of the area and things like shipswrecks etc. It is a very friendly sort of book.

Great little guide book

Great little guide book of a really special part of the UK. Bought to replace the original one we had, that sadly got damaged. It was a very useful book when we first visited The Lizard peninsula, before the days of Internet on mobile phones, and when we have been there since. I still love to look at it now. Will keep it safe for when we come again.

Very useful

One of the best travel guide books for this area I have seen (if there are better then let me know!). We go to Cornwall every year and don't want to be carrying a large book that covers ALL of Cornwall. This is a very useful book if you intend to tour round just this part of Cornwall.
