The Land's End Peninsula or West Penwith is a landscape of towering granite cliffs, moors and prehistoric monuments. In this book we follow the north coast along the West Penwith Moors from St Ives to Zennor and the Gurnard's Head. Then it's onto the tin mining landscape of Pendeen and St Just and the famous clifftop tin mines at Levant and Geevor. Next come the glorious surfing beaches of Gwynver and Sennen and past Land's End to Gwenapp Head, Porthgwarra and the clifftop theatre of the Minack at Porthcurno. Just beyond Lamorna and Mousehole the coast starts to soften as we enter Mount's Bay and Newlyn, Penzance, Marazion and St Michael's Mount come into view. Finally onto the lovely family beaches of Praa Sands, Perranuthnoe and Prussia Cove. This book guides you to the ancient monuments, the best beaches, places to visit and walks. Easy to follow and very informative
Excellent. Really useful information. Clear maps. Bought this after buying the one about The Lizard which was also excellent. Hopefully more areas to follow!

Great guide book even for residents!
It is the best guide to this part of Cornwall by far. I live here and grew up in Cornwall and it still has insights and knowledge I didn't have and the way it is laid out compels reading and viewing pictures and maps to take it all in. With no reviews of hotels or accommodation (though it tells you were some places are on the favourite walks) it suits me so well that I bought one last week for my brother's birthday (in his 70s) and he is delighted with it.
