The Lizard peninsula's remarkable landscape is dictated by its very unusual geology. Here Mother Nature has reluctantly given up a medley of igneous and metamorphic rocks that properly belong in the Earth's oceanic lithosphere and are only rarely found on dry land. It's these unusual rocks that underpin the distinctiveness of the Lizard. In the first part of this guidebook we look at the origin of the Lizard's remarkable rocks and at the unusual habitats associated with them and then guide you to the famous beauty spots like Lizard Point, Kynance and Mullion as well as the less visited places like Goonhilly and Predannack Downs. ISBN: 978-1-904645-50-4 Edition: 5th (2019) Pages: 96 Size: 240mm x 140mm
This is an extremely useful and accurate guide to the area for locals and visitors alike.

A different sort of guidebook
The presentation of this book is different from the average one. It talks of the geology, flora and fauna of the area and things like shipswrecks etc. It is a very friendly sort of book.
